POLYFORM-F
Formaldehyde Spill Control Agent. Eliminates hazardous vapors while it polymerizes formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde and other aldehydes.Polyform-F Use On:

Cidex
Formaldehyde Formalin
Glutaraldehyde Boiuns Fixative
• Zinc Formalin
• 5 Mac
• B-5 Fixative
These materials contain heavy metal which constitutes a hazardous waste. Spills of these materials must be treated accordingly.

WARNING

Causes eye irritation and possible burns. For use by trained spill control personnel.
Do not mix with chlorine or chlorine type bleaches. Mixing with chlorine will liberate gas which is potentially dangerous.NOTE:
Because POLYFORM-F has the ability to rapidly destroy formaldehyde vapors, it lends itself well for use in areas such as operating rooms or otter areas that cannot be evacuated when spill occurs.Directions for use:

  1. Consult MSDS for the spilled material to become familiar with its chemical properties and safety and health requirements. Select and wear proper personal protective equipment, including suitable foot and respiratory protection for the spilled chemical. Evacuate area as necessary to ensure safety of personnel. Control escaping vapors. Eliminate all sources of ignition and ensure that there is adequate ventilation available before applying product. Immediately add POLYFORM-F around its perimeter to prevent spreading. From the upwind side, cover the entire area from edge to edge at a ratio of approximately 1:1, completely covering the spill and taking care to avoid vapor and splashing. Do not mix. Allow to stand for 18-20 minutes. Dispose of neutralized waste in accordance with a Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations.
  2. Dispose of container after use.

FIRST AID: Eyes:

Immediately flush with flowing being sure to hold eye apart and lifting eyelids to flush under them. If powder particles are stuck to eye, do not try to remove particles. Get patient to doctor or ophthalmologist immediately Continue flushing with wafer while en route to doctor.

Skin:

Wash with soap and water.

Internal:

If person is conscious, give small glass of water and induce vomiting at once. Once vomiting occurs, hold head lower than hips to prevent aspiration. Get immediate medical attention. If unconscious keep warm and seek immediate medical attention.

To Small Spills:

Rapidly apply P0LYF0RM-F to entire spill, and let stand on area for 10 minutes. Then dispose of neutralized waste as above.
